TWHS sends four to TMEA All-State performance

Four students with The Woodlands High School Band are headed to San Antonio Feb. 13 to perform at the Texas Music Educator’s Association convention as part of the TMEA All-State music group.

The four students are Niki Patel, flute player, senior; Alyx Henderson, horn player, senior; Chris Torrisi, tuba player, junior; and Dawson Riggs, percussion player, senior. They are part of over 1,500 students selected from over 55,000 students statewide looking to perform in one of 13 different ensembles.

Joni Perez, band director, said being selected as part of TMEA All-State is quite an accomplishment.
